Spring Release Rearview Mirror Removal Tool
Designed for spring-release rearview mirrors, commonly found on older Ford models, this specialty tool provides a simple, controlled way to release the mirror bracket from the windshield-mounted button.
 
Position the tool at the bottom of the rearview mirror bracket where it latches onto the button bonded to the glass. Once properly seated, use a soft-blow hammer or similar non-marring tool to tap the bottom of the removal tool, helping move the mirror bracket off the windshield button.
 
For Reinstallation: We recommend using our Rearview Mirror Installer Tool (PART # RMI324) to safely and properly reinstall the mirror bracket onto the button bonded to the windshield.
 
Technician Tip: Always confirm the mirror mounting style before removal and use controlled, light strikes—excessive force can damage the mirror bracket, button, or glass.
